Using and linking PAY to PrismaNote

Using and linking PAY to PrismaNote

Connecting Terminal

The terminal comes with 2 cables:
  • A USB Cable
  • A network cable

We recommend using the included USB adapter (instead of connecting the terminal to a free USB port of the cash register), because with the adapter we can guarantee that the terminal gets enough power to function correctly.

Connect the cables to the bottom of the terminal

The network cable must be connected to Thermnet. The other end should be on the modem or switch. The device must have a direct connection to the Internet. Try to keep the number of switches/hubs in this connection.

The USB Cable can be connected to USB and the other end with the adapter is plugged into a power outlet.

After connecting the power, the terminal will jump on immediately. It will restart a number of times to receive the latest updates.

When the PIN terminal is connected correctly, it will show "Your CARD AUB". There is also occasional light on the side of the terminal.

Always leave the terminal on, it will receive updates at night (it will then restart automatically).
If the terminal is off for too long, it can become unusable due to the old settings.

Using PAY terminal with PrismaNote

Test payment:Now that both PrismaNote and the terminal are ready to be used, it is best to make a test payment first.Save an item and possibly adjust the price to âicular 0.01. You really make this payment, so the money will be debited from the account you pint with. Then go through the next steps.

1. Add order lines (or a test product) to a transaction.
2. Now click on the payment method associated with the Terminal (at step 9 above). In the image below the button 'PIN'
3. A new screen will appear. Click on the 'Start' button.
4.The amount is now sent to the terminal. This will increase with the amount on the screen. The customer now has 45 seconds to complete the payment. That is the bar that appears in the picture. Payment can be contactless by keeping the pass/phone/watch on the side of the device or with the chip by inserting the pass at the top of the slot. The magnetic reader is not in use.

To cancel a payment, the "Stop" button on the terminal must be pressed. It is (legally) not possible to cancel a payment from the cash register.

5. Once the payment is complete, the checkout will proceed directly to the "transaction completed screen" (or immediately reopen the checkout if set).

The purchase receipt (thermal or normal paper) will be printed automatically, if payment has been received and this is set atPrint settings(bottom).

The PIN voucher will be automatically added to the thermal purchase receipt. We do not print these yet if you use the A4 / A5 voucher.
